The Ultimate Kenya Kaleidoscope
Welcome to the ultimate Kenyan safari adventure—an ambitious 8-day expedition that stitches together the nation’s most diverse landscapes and iconic wildlife sanctuaries. This journey is a true Kaleidoscope of Kenya, moving swiftly from the volcanic plains of the coast to the high savannahs of the Great Rift Valley.
Safari Highlights
Tsavo West
- Mzima Springs: A geological marvel where you can use the submerged glass viewing tank to see clear water gushing from underground, often viewing hippos and crocodiles swimming beneath the surface.
- Volcanic Landscapes: Explore the dramatic black rock and ash of the Shetani Lava Flow and the Chaimu Crater, evidence of Tsavo's recent volcanic history.
- Black Rhino Sanctuary: Tsavo West offers one of the better chances in Kenya to spot the critically endangered Black Rhino, particularly within the guarded Ngulia Sanctuary area.
Tsavo East
- Red Elephants: Witness the park's famous elephants, which dust themselves with the deep-red ochre soil, giving them a distinct and striking reddish appearance.
- Aruba Dam: A major water source in the park that attracts a high concentration of wildlife, offering excellent game viewing opportunities, especially during dry periods.
- Vast Plains: Experience the feeling of true, open African wilderness on the seemingly endless plains, perfect for high-speed predator-prey action.
Lake Naivasha
- Crescent Island Walk: Unique opportunity to leave the vehicle for a guided walking safari among non-predatory animals like giraffes, zebras, and waterbucks.
- Hippo Boat Safari: Glide across the lake surface on a boat ride, getting close to pods of hippos submerged in the water and spotting diverse birdlife, including the majestic African Fish Eagle.
- Great Rift Valley Views: Enjoy scenic stops overlooking the massive scale of the Great Rift Valley during the drive to and from the lake.
Amboseli
- Kilimanjaro Viewpoint: Capture the quintessential African image: massive herds of elephants grazing directly beneath the towering, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.
- Elephant Herds: Amboseli is known as the "Land of Giants" for its large, easily visible herds of elephants, which thrive around the central marshlands.
- Observation Hill: Climb the designated hill for sweeping panoramic views across the park's plains, swamps, and the impressive backdrop of the mountain.
Maasai Mara
- Big Cat Paradise: The Mara is famed for the highest density of predators globally. Expect reliable sightings of lions, leopards, and cheetahs, often visible on a hunt.
- The Great Migration: (Seasonal: July - October) Witness the spectacular and dramatic Mara River Crossings as millions of wildebeest and zebras move between Tanzania and Kenya.
- Hot Air Balloon Safari: (Optional) Experience the Mara plains from above at sunrise, followed by a champagne breakfast right where you land in the bush.
