Where the Wild Whispers Begin

Step into the sun-scorched symphony of Tsavo East, where the earth blushes red beneath ancient elephant herds and the wind carries tales of lion kings and wandering giraffes. This is not just a journey—it’s a return to rhythm, to rawness, to the pulse of Africa untamed.

Over two unforgettable days, you’ll traverse golden savannahs and volcanic outcrops, tracing the Galana River’s lifeline through a land where silence roars and every sunrise feels sacred. From the towering Mudanda Rock to the crocodile-laced waters of Lugard Falls, each moment is a brushstroke on nature’s grand canvas.

Whether you’re chasing silhouettes at dawn or dining beside a waterhole under starlit skies, Tsavo East offers more than sightings—it offers soul. Come ready to listen, to feel, to be transformed.

This is Tsavo. This is safari. This is where your story begins

Safari Highlights

Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa/Diani to Tsavo East

Morning
Transfer to Tsavo East

Depart from your starting point (Nairobi or Mombasa/Diani). The drive is scenic, heading through the semi-arid landscape.

Midday
Arrival & Lunch

Arrive at your booked lodge/camp (e.g., near Voi, Manyani Gate, or along the Galana River). Check in and have lunch.

Afternoon
First Game Drive

Head out for your first game drive. Focus on the plains near your lodge. This is your best chance to see the famous Red Elephants, large herds of Cape Buffalo, Zebra, Giraffe, and various antelope species.

Evening
Dinner & Relaxation

Return to your camp for dinner, listening to the sounds of the bush under the stars.

Early Morning
Morning Game Drive

An early start (approx. 6:30 AM) is crucial as predators are most active. Search for Lions, Leopards (if you’re lucky!), and Cheetahs before they retreat from the heat.

Midday
Picnic Lunch & Key Site Visit

Have a packed lunch at a designated picnic area, perhaps near a water source. Visit a key attraction like Aruba Dam or a river crossing point, which concentrates wildlife.

Afternoon
Exploring the Yatta Plateau Area

Drive towards the Yatta Plateau area (the world’s longest lava flow). While you view it from a distance, the drive itself offers stunning, vast landscapes. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the Galana River.

Late Afternoon
Riverine Wildlife Viewing

Focus on the riverine areas for sightings of Hippos, Crocodiles, and a huge variety of birdlife.

Evening
Return to Lodge Enjoy your final full evening game drive back to the camp.

Sunrise
Final Early Morning Game Drive

Your last chance to witness the magical Tsavo sunrise and track down any animals you may have missed—especially the elusive big cats.

Morning
Breakfast & Check-out

Return to the lodge for a final breakfast and check out.

Late Morning
Drive out of the Park

Enjoy one last, shorter game drive while exiting the park, perhaps through a different gate than your entry point.

Afternoon
Begin the scenic drive back to your drop-off point (Nairobi or Mombasa/Diani).
