Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa/Diani to Tsavo East

Early pick-up (around 6:00 AM) and drive to the park. Enter via the Bachuma Gate or Voi Gate.

Mid-Morning

First Game Drive. Immediate entry for a game drive. Tsavo East is known for its “Red Elephants” (dyed red by the soil), vast plains, and high predator sightings.
Lunch Lodge/Camp Check-in and Lunch

Drive to your accommodation near Voi or inside the park (e.g., Voi Safari Lodge area) for lunch and a short rest.

Afternoon
Transfer to Tsavo West & Game Drive En Route. Drive across the highway (or through the park, depending on location) toward Tsavo West. Conduct a game drive en route toward your accommodation in Tsavo West.

Late Afternoon
Tsavo West Check-in & Relaxation

Check into your lodge or camp in Tsavo West.

Evening
Dinner at the lodge/camp. Many lodges in Tsavo West (like Kilaguni Serena or Finch Hatton’s area) offer views of floodlit waterholes for night viewing.

Day 2: Tsavo West National Park (Volcanic Scenery & Springs)

Early Morning
Morning Game Drive

The best time for game viewing. Explore the volcanic landscape, including the Shetani Lava Flow and the Chyulu Hills backdrop.

Late Morning
Visit Mzima Springs

Walk to the viewing tank at Mzima Springs, a pristine oasis where you can often see hippos and crocodiles through the underwater viewing chamber.

Brunch/Early Lunch
Lodge/Camp Check-out and Meal

Enjoy a late breakfast or early lunch at your accommodation.

Early Afternoon
Final Game Drive & Departure

A final, short game drive as you exit the park, perhaps targeting the Rhino Sanctuary area (though sightings are not guaranteed) or the beautiful hill landscapes.

Afternoon
Drive back to Mombasa/Drop-off

Begin the return journey to your drop-off location (e.g., Mombasa/Diani).
